Polaris ("we", "our", "us") provides personal finance planning tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

- Financial information you add or connect (for example: accounts, balances, transactions, recurring items, categories).
- Bank connection information from integrated providers (for example: Plaid), when you choose to connect accounts.
- Subscription and purchase status from RevenueCat and app stores.
- Basic technical and diagnostic information needed for app security, reliability, and support.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and maintain Polaris features.
- Generate projections, insights, and related calculations.
- Manage authentication, subscriptions, and account access.
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
- Improve product performance and quality.
3. AI Features
AI assistant features are optional. If enabled, prompts and relevant context may be sent to your selected provider (for example: OpenAI or Google Gemini) to generate responses.
AI API keys entered in Polaris are stored locally on your device using secure storage.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Polaris, including:
- Infrastructure and authentication providers (for example: Firebase).
- Banking connectivity providers (for example: Plaid).
- Subscription infrastructure providers (for example: RevenueCat and app stores).
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Data Retention
We retain data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
You can request deletion through in-app settings where available.
